I have been asked by some extremely very nice people to put up a PayPal account to the blog so people can donate to help out. You can see it on the header of the blog, and at the very bottom. I do not want anyone to think that they have to donate to read the blog. It is there for people who would like to and are able to help out with my current situation.Think of it as the donation plate that passes you in church, but if you don't put any money in there, the person sitting next to you won't judge you.
Having cancer costs a lot of money, so I appreciate every dollar that goes into the donation. If Kasia and I receive anything over helping to cover the costs of my medical bills we will donate the rest to Livestrong. My family has been making donations to Livestrong ever since I was diagnosed in 2004, and it is a very worthy cause.
Thanks everyone for your support, kind words, and prayers. All of everyone's compassion towards our situation has been unbelievable. I don't know how to describe how thankful Kasia and I are for everyone in our lives...
So again, if you would like to donate go ahead and do it... if not, NBD.
Robert, I enjoy reading your posts. You are at once, that fun loving little kid I met in the street on roller blades when I first moved to Vegas in 1995, and yet you have grown in to being a man's man. Love your attitude on this: a realist, but a fighter with an optimism that won't be denied. For what its worth, 30 years ago my college room mate had the same cancer at the same point in his life as yours. He's been married to the same woman now for 30 years and going strong. I'll be following you. Let me know when you come to Vegas; The casita is always open to you and your family. One request: how about posting a name, (did you set up a special account?), and address to send a check donation; easier than paypal.
